What is often called mesotherapy colloquially is, at its core, not a single preparation but a route of application: delivering active substances through many small, superficial injections into the skin. That same principle underlies our treatments with skinboosters, Peptidyal, and polynucleotides — we name the substances used here precisely instead of grouping them under the general term mesotherapy. Which preparation fits in an individual case depends on skin findings and treatment goals; not every option suits every skin equally.

Skinboosters place moisture-binding substances broadly into the skin. The aim is not more volume, but support for hydration, elasticity, and surface structure. Application is mesotherapeutic — via fine micro-injections into the skin.

Peptidyal

Peptidyal denotes a product family with different formulations for skin biorestructuring. Depending on the preparation, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and further components may be included. Composition, intended use, product status, injection plane, and suitability are checked and explained for the specific product used. This too is a form of mesotherapy.

Polynucleotides (PN/PDRN)

Polynucleotide preparations contain highly purified DNA fragments, depending on the product often derived from fish DNA, commonly salmon or trout. Colloquially this is sometimes called a ‘salmon sperm treatment’; medically that label is imprecise. This treatment also counts as mesotherapy, but — unlike many classic mesotherapy cocktails — uses highly purified DNA fragments rather than hyaluronic acid. Intradermal injection is offered to support skin quality, hydration, elasticity, and fine lines. Current evidence is promising but limited and heterogeneous. Product status, suitability, allergies, possible risks, and alternatives are assessed individually beforehand.

PRP autologous blood treatment

For PRP, blood is drawn and platelet-rich plasma prepared. The autologous preparation is offered to support selected skin-quality parameters. Systems, concentrations, and protocols differ; evidence is not equally strong for every goal. Indication, blood count, medication, risks, and alternatives are checked individually.

Thread tightening with CARA PDO threads

At MEDIKUSS we see thread treatment primarily as tissue support and tightening — not as a substitute for a surgical facelift. Suitable CARA PDO threads are placed in a defined subcutaneous plane according to findings. The aim is stabilisation where extra hyaluronic volume could act unfavourably or migrate. Subcutaneous fat is not increased; the tissue continuum is supported by mechanical guidance and subsequent remodelling. Thread type, plane, benefit, limits, and risks are set individually.

Eyelid tightening

Eyelid tightening corrects excess skin and, when needed, deeper tissues. Planning and incision follow function, natural lid form, and an inconspicuous healing course.
