Non-prep veneers: options and limits

What are non-prep veneers?

Ultra-thin ceramic shells bonded without classic drilling. They can change shape, colour, small gaps, and selected misalignments — but only when tooth position, space, enamel, bite, and facial proportions allow an additive approach.

When are they appropriate?

Possible with small teeth, gaps, mild shape deviations, or a wish for controlled aesthetic refinement. Teeth and gums are examined; photos and digital scans support planning. A mock-up can show form and effect before definitive ceramics.

Where are the limits?

Not every situation can be solved without preparation. Protruding teeth, marked misalignment, large fillings, disease, or unfavourable load may require another treatment. The goal is not non-prep at any cost, but the most convincing aesthetic and functional solution with maximal preservation of healthy tooth structure.
